Snap a photo of any report. KinLab turns it into clear results and trend charts for everyone you look after, ready to share with your doctor.
Why KinLab
Reports are read on your device. The photo or PDF is never uploaded, never stored and never sent to an AI company or anyone else.
How it worksMaa, Baba, your partner, the kids. Each gets their own records, and you look after them all.
Family profilesSend a private, read-only link on WhatsApp. It opens in any browser, with no app and no sign-in.
Doctor linksNo app store, no updates, no storage worries. If your phone has a browser, it runs KinLab.
Any deviceEnglish, हिन्दी or বাংলা. Switch any time, and set it up for a parent in theirs.
LanguagesPlain words, results labelled in text as well as colour, screen-reader support, and it keeps working when the network drops.
AccessibilityHow it works
Take a photo or upload the lab’s PDF. Or type the values in, with test names suggested as you go.
KinLab shows what it read next to your report. Fix anything, then save. The photo is discarded.
Every test gets its own chart across every report, with the normal range shaded in.
Private by design
Most scanning apps upload your report to a server, often hand it to an AI service to read, and keep a copy. We built our own reader that runs on your device instead, so there’s nothing to send and nothing to leak.
A photo or PDF, with your name, address and IDs on it.
Our reader runs inside your browser or phone. No server ever sees the report.
You confirm the results; the photo or PDF is discarded.
| Question | KinLab | Typical scanning app |
|---|---|---|
| Where is your report read? | On your device | On the company’s servers |
| Is it sent to an AI company? | Never | Often |
| Is a copy of the photo kept? | No, it’s discarded | Usually, in the cloud |
| Is the raw report text saved? | No, only the values you confirm | Usually |
| Ads? Tracking without asking? | None | Common |
No cloud AI, no outside reading service. The reading software downloads once and works on your device.
Once you save, the photo or PDF is gone, along with the address, phone number and IDs printed on it.
Your private backup holds results only: test names, values, units, ranges and dates.
The only thing that leaves your device is the results you save, backed up to your private account so they’re on all your devices. How reading works
One account, the whole family
“What was Baba’s sugar last year?” With KinLab, the answer is a tap away. Add a profile for each person you care for and switch between them in a tap.
Nothing to download
KinLab is a website that works like an app. Open it in Chrome or Safari on the phone you already have, even an older one, and you’re in.
Open KinLab in your browser and sign in with your Google account.
Reports are read and discarded, so they never pile up in your storage.
You always have the latest version, on every device.
Phone, tablet or laptop. Your records follow you.
In your language
Use KinLab in English, हिन्दी or বাংলা. It follows your phone’s language, and you can switch any time in Settings, so a parent can read it in the language they’re most comfortable with.
Test names stay exactly as your lab prints them, so nothing gets lost in translation.
Worth asking about a recheck
Since your last report
Reports are read on this device. Only your results are backed up, privately.
Made for everyone
Lab reports are hard enough to read. KinLab is built so anyone in the family can understand what they’re looking at.
Every result says High, Low or In range in words, so it’s clear even with colour blindness.
Clear labels instead of medical jargon, with the normal range shown on every result.
Buttons are labelled and charts describe themselves aloud, for TalkBack and VoiceOver.
A calm dark mode for night-time checks, and pages that stay readable when you zoom in.
Weak signal at the clinic? Your records are on your device, and new results back up when you reconnect.
Nothing to install and no photos piling up, so it works on the phone Maa already has.
And everything else
Every test charted across every report, with the normal range shaded in. Look at the last 6 months, a year or everything.
A range bar shows each value against its reference range.
One lab says mg/dL, another mmol/L. KinLab converts them, so a chart never mixes units.
Learns how often you usually test, and adds a reminder to Google, Apple or Outlook calendar.
A one-page summary for the doctor: flagged results, changes and your questions.
Search every report, filter by flagged results or test type, and compare two reports side by side.
Labs label tests differently. Link “Hb” and “Haemoglobin” once and their history stays together.
Understands 1,50,000 and dd/mm dates, “Referred by” doctors, and the test names Indian labs use.
Manual entry suggests test names and units as you type, and flags results outside the range.
Download everything as a .zip, or delete your account and every record in it, any time.
From early users
Every doctor visit meant digging through a pile of old reports. Now I upload the lab’s PDF and it’s all there, with a proper chart. It’s a real problem, and KinLab actually solves it.
AAnanya S.Early user
PDFs are the smoothest part. Upload, and the results are read in seconds. With phone photos I sometimes fix a value or two, but checking them is quick.
RRohan M.Early user
Seeing the numbers as real charts over time is the best part. It feels like something every family should have had already.

FAQ
Yes. There are no ads, no subscription and no limit on how many reports you add or how many family members you look after.
No. KinLab reads it on your device with our own in-house reader, which uses open-source engines (pdf.js and Tesseract) that your browser downloads once. The photo or PDF never leaves your device, isn’t sent to any AI or outside service, and isn’t kept after you save. Only the results you confirm are stored.
No. KinLab runs in Chrome, Safari or any modern browser on iPhone, Android, tablet or laptop, including older phones. Nothing to install, nothing to update. If you like, add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.
English, Hindi (हिन्दी) and Bengali (বাংলা). KinLab follows your phone’s language; to change it, open Settings → Language. The main screens are translated, and test names always stay as your lab prints them.
Yes. Add a profile for each person you look after, with their name and relation, and optionally their year of birth and sex. Each report belongs to one person, and you switch between people with the “Viewing” switcher. They don’t need their own account.
Open Family & sharing, choose the person and create a doctor link. Pick how long it lasts (24 hours, 7 days or 30 days), then send it by WhatsApp, email or anything else. It opens in any browser, with no app or sign-in. For a visit, you can also download a one-page summary as a PDF.
Anyone who has it, until it expires or you turn it off. Links use long random codes and can’t be searched, but anyone it’s forwarded to can open it, so send it only to people you trust. A link is read-only, shows only that one person’s records and never includes your private notes. Turning it off deletes the shared copy straight away. How doctor links work
No, and that’s on purpose: a report carries your address, phone number and IDs, and a file that is never stored can’t leak. Keep the paper or PDF as you normally would; KinLab keeps the results, organised and charted.
Lab PDFs are read very accurately, because the text comes straight from the file. Photos depend on light and angle: a flat, well-lit report photographed straight on works best. Either way, you check every value before it’s saved.
Your results (test names, values, units, ranges, dates, report names and the details you add) are backed up to your private account on Google Firebase, encrypted in transit and at rest, with a copy on your device so the app is quick and works offline. Photos and PDFs are never stored. Privacy policy

Feedback
Every message is read by the people who build it.
“I built it for my Maa and Baba. Now it’s for every Maa and Baba.”
KinLab started as a son’s way to end the paper chase before doctor visits, without handing his parents’ reports to strangers.
Next time the doctor asks, you’ll have the answer, for everyone you look after.
